Mueller Administration Abby Bloch, Ph.D. Christina Miller Abby Bloch, Ph.D. is executive director for Programs and Research for the Dr. Robert C. and Veronica Atkins Foundation, where she has overseen the allocation of more than $20 million in grants. For more than 30 years, Dr. Bloch, has worked in many different capacities to further the medical community’s understanding of the relationship between nutrition and disease management. Before joining the Atkins Foundation, she served as a coordinator of clinical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and also maintained a private consulting practice. Dr. Bloch holds a doctorate in clinical nutrition from New York University. She is an adjunct assistant professor of nutrition and health here and at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. A frequent lecturer, Dr. Bloch is the author of six books related to the clinical aspects of nutrition, diet and prevention, including the newly-published Issues and Choices in Clinical Nutrition Practice. She is the recipient of the American Dietetic Association’s prestigious Medallion Award for leadership.
