Part of Tufts’ Children in Balance Initiative, the HEAT Club provides a comprehensive approach to preventing obesity in school-age children using after-school programs and state-of-the-art technology to inform children, caregivers and parents about healthy lifestyles and activities. The Atkins Foundation is funding one of the project’s current key components evaluating live versus online training. If found effective, the online training will provide a cost-efficient, broad-based model for disseminating the HEAT Club program and training caregivers in successful implementation of the curriculum. |
